Pottery: How I Got Started

For as long as I can remember, I had dreams of making pottery on the wheel. No, seriously. I've always been an artsy person whether it's drawing, painting or picking up a new project from the local craft store. But I was never provided an opportunity to try my hand at wheel thrown pottery.

In 2018 I finally booked my first ever class at a local pottery studio in Bloomington, IL. I quickly became a member and spent every possible hour trying to refine these new skills. Less than a year later, my studio closed its doors.

And I was so crushed I moved halfway across the country! No, that wasn't the real reason. I did pack up and move to Raleigh shortly before the COVID-19 pandemic turned our lives upside down though, and as a result I was left studio-less yet again.

However, new years bring new blessings and in January 2021 I finally found a new studio to call home! My first batch is finally up on the website for sale and I could not be happier to share my craft with you all.

Commissions are still currently closed while I gain my footing back on the wheel, but please stay tuned and keep your eyes on my Instagram and Facebook Group for updates as to when commissions reopen!

Thank you for walking on this journey with me! :)
